• Après avoir acheté et rénové une maison dans le quartier de Woluwé-St-Pierre, Raphaëlle et Alexandre décident de se lancer dans l'art de recevoir. Pendant 3 ans, ils reçoivent des hôtes dans leur maison bruxelloise.
• Puis, un jour, ils tombent en admiration devant la façade d'une adorable maison style « fermette » des années 1920 dans le sympathique quartier de Woluwé-St-Lambert. Ils y laissent un message aux propriétaires en leur demandant de les avertir si un jour ils vendent cette maison. Quelques jours plus tard, le destin ! Un coup de téléphone et la maison est pour eux !
• Un an d'attente et de travaux pour transformer la maison car tout est à rénover.
• Leur souhait : renouer avec l'esprit des lieux, l'authenticité des matériaux (plancher, moulures, colombages) tout en rénovant chaque pièce. Et rénover la façade arrière aussi joliment que la façade avant (avec bow window).
• Passionnée par la décoration, la maîtresse de maison décide de métamorphoser leur nouveau port d'attache et de recréer 2 chambres d'hôtes. L'expérience de ces 3 dernières années leur ayant plu, il n'y a pas de raison de s'arrêter là !
• Une belle gamme de beige, rouge, gris renaît au fil des pièces, se mélangeant subtilement avec le mobilier ancien.
  Cette déclinaison de couleurs contribue largement à l'atmosphère apaisante de cette maison.
• La maison abrite 2 chambres d'hôtes aménagées avec raffinement pour le plus grand confort des visiteurs. Romantiques et pures, elles ont été peintes dans des tons chaleureux. Elles offrent un refuge douillet. Il s'agit de deux chambres avec lit double et petite salle-de-bain attenante privative (baignoire et wc). Toutes les deux sont munies d'une télévision avec câble. Il y a une connection internet ADSL sans fil dans la maison, qui peut permettre aux personnes ayant un portable et une carte Wi-Fi de se connecter à internet.
• Pour le petit déjeuner, tout le monde se retrouve autour d'une grande table dans la salle-à-manger (ou dehors dans le jardin) sur laquelle sont disposés croissants, pain, petits pains, yaourts, ...
• Pour le dîner, une liste des bonnes adresses de restaurants à proximité de la maison est à la disposition des hôtes.
• Le quartier est très calme. On se croirait à la campagne alors que nous sommes au cour de Bruxelles ! Au bout de la rue, des terrains de tennis, un minigolf, une plaine de jeux, des restaurants, un centre culturel. Une galerie commerçante ( Woluwé shopping center ) et le métro (qui vous emmène au centre ville en 15 minutes) se trouvent à 2 pas de la maison .

• Having bought an old house in the very pleasant area of Woluwé-St-Pierre, Brussels - Alexandre and Raphaëlle opened their ho me as a guest-house during three years.
• One day they stopped in admiration before a 1920s farm-house in the friendly area of Woluwe-St-Lambert. They left a message for the owners, asking to be informed if one day they should decide to sell their house. A few days later they received a phone-call and the house became theirs.
• It took one year of working, waiting and total renovation. With a natural talent for interior decoration the landlady renewed and transformed their house, so as to offer two guestrooms.
• Having enjoyed their experience of the past three years, there was no reason to stop. As they changed each room, their objective was to bring back to life the original spirit and authenticity of the building - floor, ornamental mouldings etc. They decided to place a bay window at the back of the house so as to equal that at the front.
• Raphaëlle chose within a beautiful range of beige/red/grey shades, seen in the different rooms, together with stylish antique furniture. This range of colours contributes to the house's peaceful atmosphere.
• The two lovely guestrooms are finely decorated and extremely comfortable. Romantic, pure and warmly furnished, they provide a sweet refuge. Each guestroom is named : « Les Fraisiers » or « Les Orangers ».
• Both rooms contain a double bed, and have an adjoining, small private bathroom. - bath & toilet. Each room includes a colour television with cable channels - Eng., German, Spanish, French.
  There is an internet ADSL wireless connection in the house, which enables guests to connect their computers and a Wi-Fi card.
• Breakfast is a family affair, where everyone gathers around the large dining-table. A continental breakfast of bread, rolls, croissants, yoghurts, ... are available. During summer, breakfast may be eaten outside in the garden .
  For dinner, at the guests' disposal, we have a list of good restaurants close to the house.
• The area is very quiet. Even though we are in the heart of Brussels we have an impression of being in the countryside. At the end of the street there are tennis courts, a minigolf, playing fields, restaurants and a cultural centre, as well as a commercial gallery - Woluwé Shopping Center . The metro is close to the house and takes only 15 minutes to reach the centre of Brussels.

• Na een Brussels huis te hebben gekocht en gerenoveerd in de sympathieke wijk van St-Pieters-Woluwe, beslissen Alexandre en Raphaëlle zich toe te leggen in "de kunst om gasten te ontvangen". Gedurende 3 jaar ontvangen ze hun gasten in hun Brusselse huis.
• Op een dag ontdekken ze tijdens een wandeling in een sympathieke wijk van St-Lambrechts-Woluwe een schattig huisje in hoevestijl van de jaren 20 met een prachtige gevel. Ze wagen het erop om een briefje achter te laten vragende hen te contacteren in geval ze het huis zouden verkopen. Het lot lacht hen toe want enkele dagen later rinkelt de telefoon en is het huis van hen !
• Een jaar en vele werken later, het huis was aan renovatie toe, is het alles klaar om nieuwe gasten te ontvangen.
• Hun wens : de sfeer van de kamers en de echtheid van materialen (houten vloer, lijstwerken) doen herleven door elke kamer te vernieuwen. En ook de achtergevel even knap renoveren als de voorgevel (met een bow-window).
• Het is met een aangeboren zin voor decoratie dat Raphaëlle hun nieuwe thuishaven beslist te metamorfoseren en opnieuw twee gastenkamers te verhuren. Ze hebben van de ervaring van de laatste 3 jaar genoten, er is geen reden om ermee te stoppen !
• Een harmonieuze combinatie van beige, rood en grijs verlicht de verschillende kamers, en vermengen zich met het antieke meubilair.
• Deze kleurengamma draagt bij tot de rustsfeer van het huis.
• In het huis bevinden zich 2 karaktervolle gastenkamers ingericht met veel zorg voor het grootste comfort van de gasten. Romantisch en zuiver, geschilderd met warme kleuren
• De twee kamers zijn voorzien van een dubbel bed en een eigen badkamer (badkuip en wc).
• Beide beschikken over kabeltelevisie. Er is een wireless ADSL connectie in het huis, met een draagbare PC beschikkende over een Wi-Fi kaart is een internet connectie mogelijk.
• Voor het ontbijt, wordt u uitgenodigd aan een grote tafel in de eetkamer (of in de tuin tijdens de zomermaanden) waar brood, ontbijtkoeken, yoghurt, . worden opgediend.
• Voor de andere maaltijden, wordt een lijst van aangename restaurantjes in de nabije buurt ter beschikking gesteld.
• Het huis bevindt zich in een zeer rustige buurt. Je zou bijna denken dat je op het platte land bent terwijl je eigenlijk in het hartje van Brussel vertoeft. Op het einde van de straat vind je een tennisclub, een minigolf, een speelplein, restaurants. Het Woluwe shopping center en de metro zijn maar op 5 minuutjes wandelafstand.

how to get there:

1) By subway : Take the Subway line n° 1B direction Stockel to Vandervelde station.
Leave the metro, go down Vandervelde Avenue to the small roundabout where there is a chapel on your left. Take Chapel Avenue - a paved street - and turn left at the Y crossing - no cars allowed due to stony ground. Climb up the small road and you will enter Avenue du Bois de Sapins. Then turn to the right and our house is second on the right.
2) By bus : Take the bus n° 42. Take Tervueren Avenue then Woluwe Boulevard.
Stop in front of Woluwe shopping centre - Vellemolen - then climb on foot to J.F. Debecker Avenue - the restaurant Lindekemale is on the corner of this street. Then take the second street on the left and that is Avenue du Bois de Sapins. Go to the end of the street and our house is on the left - no. 47.
3) By train : The Thalys from Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam or the Eurostar from London, reaches the "Gare du midi" downtown Brussels, then take a taxi (10-min) or the subway line n° 1B direction Stockel to Station Vandervelde.
4) By plane :
a. Brussels National Airport is 10km away, then take a taxi
b. Brussels Charleroi is 45 km away, then take a shuttle to the city or a taxi.
