description:
- The family Van den Bogaert-Van Gool lives in a former brewer's mansion
on a main street close to the train station and the center of Lier.
- Lier is, like a miniature of Bruges, renown for Flemish step gable
architecture, its market place with the town hall, the typical lace
and its beguinage. There are several walking routes or routes for cyclists
along the canals and rivers around Lier.
- The house was built in 1911 in an eclectic style with stained glass
windows and living rooms en suite. A royal breakfast is served in this
historic interior.
- The garden behind the house offers guests a restful place. In Summer
they can make freely use of the swimming-pool. A private parking place
for bikes and cars is available at the back of the house.
- The 2 bedrooms are on the second floor: they are comfortable, spacious
and have contemporary furnishing and a TV. On the same floor is the
bathroom (for guests only) and a fridge.
