description:
- Villa L’Aimée is a beautiful belle époque
villa built in 1929 which has been totally renovated by the present English owner. The house is set in the
quiet residential quarter of St Maurice and overlooks the beautiful
Park Chambrun and the Temple de Diane.
- The guest rooms are situated on the first floor of the villa
which has it’s own entrance. Each of the rooms has twin
/ double beds and an en suite or private bathroom or shower room.
The rooms are decorated to an extremely high standard and the
two large double bedrooms have French doors leading to balconies
overlooking the garden. Guests can enjoy the privacy of a paved
garden on the ground floor or can take a walk in the beautiful
park next door. Breakfast is served on the second floor in the
owner’s beautiful dining room with stunning views overlooking
Nice, where guests can enjoy fresh fruit salad, local pastries and breads and freshly squeezed orange juice.
- The villa is situated two stops from the airport on the autoroute
and is also extremely well serviced with an airport bus leaving
every 15 minutes from Terminal 1, passing via the main SNCF railway
station and terminating at the bottom of the road in Place Alex
Medicin – 5 minutes walk from the villa. There are also
buses from the square going all day to the centre of town and
a night bus to bring back late diners.
- Nice is famous for the beauty of the Promenade des Anglaises,
the Port and the old town with the famous flower, vegetable and
antique market held in the Cours Saleya. As well as its many superb
museums the city of Nice holds Carnival in February, the Nice
Jazz Festival in July, as well as those at Juan Les Pins and Vence,
and many other attractions throughout the year. Nice is superbly
situated on the Côte d’Azur, a short distance from
Monaco, Antibes and Cannes. Avid hikers and skiers have easy access
throughout the year to the Parc Mercantour and to the ski slopes
of resorts such as Auron and Isola 2000, which are only one and
a half hour’s drive from the city .
