• In El Racó de Madremanya we have preserved the warmth of the old things, of its stones, of its domed roofs, but we have also included the cosy spaces of our home.
  We invite you to spend a few days of relaxation and peace, to enjoy the landscapes of Les Gavarres and the Empordà, to go out into the mountains, to lie on the beach and watch the sundown, to play several sports, to discover a region, its culture and its gastronomy - we invite you to enjoy El Racó de Madremanya.
• The philosophy of El Racó de Madremanya is to take you into an atmosphere of harmony, tolerance and respect towards everyone.
• El Racó de Madremanya is located in a beautiful 18th century stone farmhouse. The house has been completely restored while preserving the charm of the typical constructions of the region, but incorporating the comfort and necessary details to create a relaxed and cosy atmosphere.
• On the ground floor of the house are located the kitchen and the dining room, with three different spaces, in which the large fireplace and the domed stone roof stand out.
• On the first floor of the house there is a big living room, the perfect place to spend an evening reading or listening to music. From here you can access five of the house's rooms. These rooms are remarkable for their spaciousness, their impeccable details and for having, each one of them, a different personality: some have their own balcony and others a fireplace. All of them have beautiful views. From the living room it is also possible to gain access to a large balcony where you can enjoy the blue sky of the Empordà and the quietness of the environment.
• On the second floor you will find two large, bright rooms forming a small apartment at the top of the house. One of these rooms leads out onto a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the sunny days.
• The large garden has a fabulous swimming pool and a big terrace where you can sunbathe, savour a drink of fresh fruit juice, read a book or just lie down the springy lawn and relax enjoying the silence of nature.
• You can come to El Racó de Madremanya any time of the year. Our house is always open for you. You can enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Empordà and Les Gavarres in the springtime with its burst of life, in the autumn when the landscape is full of warm colours, in the winter reading in front of the living room fireplace and in summer enjoying the beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava or refreshing yourself in our swimming pool.

how to get there:

By Car
Take highway A7 to exit 6 (Girona Nord), than the C-66 (direction Palamós - La Bisbal d'Empordà). Cross both Celrà and Bordils, and at the second stop lights in Bordils turn right. Cross Sant Martí Vell and enter the town of Madremanya.
Left the car at entry village parking. Walk for the Sant Esteve street, on your left, you will find El Racó de Madremanya.

By train:
The closests train stations are: Girona, Figueres and Flaçà.

By plane
The closest airports to El Racó de Madremanya are the Girona-Costa Brava and Barcelona airports.
