description:
- "Casa Niña Maria" is situated at the foot of the Sierra of Guadarrama and near the small town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Casa Niña Maria is a good starting point to make daily trips to visit Madrid, Segovia, Avila and Toledo.
- You can also take long walks in the National Park of Abantos, fish in the lake of Valmayor, ski in the ski Station of Navacerrada or just enjoy the peace and quiet that you will find in Casa Niña Maria sitting under the shade of ancient holm oaks.
- Living Areas
The two stored house, surrounded by old oak-trees, is in the urbanization Los Arroyos,by the lake of Valmayor. My daughter Maria and me, Rafael, will try our best to make your stay with us a very pleasant one.
- We have 3 bedrooms to welcome our visitors.
- The living room is spacious and bright, with a fireplace and two French windows leading to the garden and it offers a surprising and attractive contrast of styles.
- On one side of the living-room there is a staircase leading to the cellar, the bodega and an extensive library. On the opposite side of the living room another set of stairs flanked by in-door plants, which takes you to the Penthouse suite.
- The kitchen is one of the most charming and pleasant rooms in "Casa niña Maria". It is very spacious and full of light with a splendid fire place. Open to the garden through a glass door, it also has an elegant bay window. It is maybe the ideal place to have a delicious breakfast and plan the day ahead.
- In “Casa niña Maria” there is also an extensive library, a computer with Internet and wi-fi access, Satellite TV in the lounge or in the bedrooms and a substantial collection of films on DVD. There is also a variety of games (Monopoly, etc) and a ping-pong table.
- The Bedrooms:
- 1.- “Maria's Bedroom”. It is decorated in pale, light colours and has a big bay window overlooking the garden. It has a private bathroom.
- 2.- “Rafa's Bedroom”. This is a spacious and comfortable room. Large glass doors open onto a private terrace under a big holm oak. The ample private bathroom is fully adapted for the handicapped.
- 3.- “The Penthouse Suite”. This Suite can easily accommodate a family of four. The window near the fireplace offers a splendid view over the Sierra of Guadarrama and the Monastery of El Escorial and the roof window above the double bed gives you an unusual view of the exterior especially on a starry night. It has a complete private bathroom with shower and a small terrace overlooking the garden.

Breakfast consists of fresh orange juice, fruit of the season, coffee or tea, cereals, home-made pastries, fresh bread, butter, honey, marmalade and home-made jams. Also available is the typical Spanish “pan con tomate” (toasted fresh bread with olive oil and tomatoes), accompanied by cheese and spicy sausages.
