• Built in 1939 and renovated in 1991, Pign Padua is constructed from wood in the classical Swiss style. The house gets its name from the church of St. Antoni of Padua, which is next door. St. Antoni was from the village of Padua in Italy and Pign is Romansch for "small".
• The house is located in the small village of Cavardiras just outside the popular Monastery town of Disentis/Mustér in the Kanton of Graubünden in the south-east of Switzerland.
• The area is excellent for biking, para-gliding, walking or hiking in the Sunny months and in the Snowy months all the winter sports are available. Disentis/Mustér also has a large indoor/outdoor sports complex which is open all year round.
• If energetic activities are not for you, the house is located in the perfect spot to offer you the peace and tranquility to enable you to recharge your batteries. From our garden terrace you can observe the local wildlife, besides a wide range of birds there are Deer, Foxes and Wolves!
• Our house offers you the following:
  • On arrival, guests are served a complimentary welcome drink in the comfort of the guest lounge. Helping you relax after your journey here.
  • Ground floor, has the Breakfast room/Café with a seperate guest lounge.
    The guest lounge has Sat TV and Book corner, it is the ideal place to relax and meet your fellow guests.
    
  • Bedroom floor, has five double rooms, the two front rooms also have a balcony but all the rooms have wonderful views! We can accommodate groups of up to ten people. Also on this floor there are the two guest bathrooms, one with WC/Shower and the other with WC/Bath.
  • Cellar, in the summer is used as the bicycle room and in the winter as the ski room for our guests use. Also there is a clothes drying area and by-arrangement we offer clothes washing/drying facilities.
• Outside the large garden café terrace, offers magnificent views of the Surselva valley.
• The whole house is a "No Smoking" area, however a smoking area is located in the garden, guests are asked to use this facility as the house is of a wooden construction and the fire insurance is expensive enough as it is!
• We have parking, next to the house for our guests.
• The top floor is where Eveline and Steve, your hosts, live! We look forward to your visit!

• Pign Padua ist ein massiv gebautes Holzhaus im klassischen Schweizerstil, erbaut im Jahr 1939 und renoviert 1991. Das Haus steht am Rand des kleinen Dorfes Cavardiras, nur ein paar Autominuten entfernt vom bekannten Klosterdorf Disentis/Mustér, Kanton Graubünden.
• Die Umgebung bietet einiges an Aktivitäten wie: Biken, Paragliding, Wandern, Spazieren, Skifahren, Langlaufen, Schneeschuhwandern etc, um nur einige zu nennen. In Disentis/Mustér hat es ein grosses Sportcenter, welches das ganze Jahr hindurch geöffnet ist.
• Falls solche Aktivitäten nichts für Sie sind bietet das Haus die nötige Ruhe und Erholung um Ihren Akku wieder aufzuladen. Von der Gartenterrasse aus können Sie die intakte Natur geniessen, in den frühen und späten Abendstunden die Wildtiere beobachten und sehen, wie sich Hasen und Füchse gute Nacht sagen.
• Erdgeschoss: Dort befindet sich der Frühstücksraum/Café mit separater Gästelounge, eine Bücherecke, und es ist einfach der ideale Platz um Freunde und Gäste zu treffen.
• Obergeschoss: Das OG bietet fünf Gästezimmer wo wir Gruppen bis maximal 10 Personen oder Individualgäste bei uns aufnehmen können. Davon haben zwei Zimmer einen gemeinsamen Balkon, wobei die Aussicht aus allen Zimmern gigantisch und unvergesslich ist. Ebenfalls auf diesem Stock befinden sich WC/Dusche und WC/Bad zur gemeinsamen Benützung.
• Untergeschoss: Unser vielseitige Keller wird im Sommer als Veloraum und im Winter als Skiraum genutzt. Ebenfalls können Kleider zum Trocknen aufgehängt werden oder falls gewünscht, auch gewaschen werden.
• Bei Ankunft heissen wir unsere Gästen mit einem Drink in der komfortablen Gästelounge willkommen. Dies hilft nach der anstrengenden Anreise zu entspannen und spätestens zu diesem Zeitpunkt sich auf die Ferien einzustellen.
• Die Gartenterasse mit wunderschöner Aussicht ins Tal ist im Sommer als auch im Winter eine Augenweide.
• Um die Brandgefahr zu vermeiden ist es im ganzen Haus nicht gestattet zu rauchen.
• Inbegriffen sind: Gratis Parkplatz.

By Road: To Disentis:
Via Andermatt/Oberalpass:
Summer, The Oberalpass is open.
Winter, The Oberalpass is closed. A rail /car service runs from Andermatt to Sedrun during daylight hours.

Via Biasca/Lukmanier Pass:
Summer, the Lukmanier pass is open.
Winter, the Lukmanier pass is open between 08:00 and 18:00. Snow tyres are obilgatory (sometimes snowchains are required).

Via Chur:
The road (19) is open all year.

Once in Disentis, go to the Railway Station (Bahnhof) drive past the station and follow the road under the railway bridge and continue past the houses. You will see a signpost for Cavardiras, the road changes into a farm road. Follow the farm road down over the Rhine and up the other side to Cavardiras, Pign Padua is next to the church.

By Train: Our nearest railway station is Disentis. We can pick you up from there if required.
